Enormous Radio

Jim and Irene Westcott had a regular life, they had been married nine years, they were parents, they lived in an apartment house, they went to the theater, they listened to the radio after dinner and the most important thing is that they had a good relationship and communication with each other, until Jim brought a new modern radio. This radio has a function of the transmission other apartments sounds. Listening to the radio was an addiction for Irene. This story indicates that new technologies could create changes in people's lives. Irene had psycologic problems and she became a depressive, sad, vague, curious and irresponsible woman. Irene's behaviours had changed because of the new technology. She just listened others conversations, but she had not got a solution for them. Today people can affirm from scientific statistics, that growning technologies isolate people from the society. Enormous radio is an extreme example for its proof. If Irene had not got a radio, from which she could listen others, she can communicate with her neighbours, listen their problems and find solutions for them. Irene was isolated, she was alone at home and her relationship with her husband was damaged because of her addiction to this new techonology.
